Steal An Egg Halloween Event Guide: Echo Quest, Candy Corn and Phantom Express

The Steal An Egg Halloween event arrived with Update 9, one of the game's biggest updates so far. It adds a separate Halloween map with 23 new pets, a new currency, a dog quest, a ghost train, and a new mutation.

Most of the rewards are locked behind a quest chain, so knowing the order saves a lot of wandering. Echo's quest unlocks the fishing rod, the rod unlocks the train ticket, and the train unlocks the Spectral Mutation.

When the Steal An Egg Halloween Event Starts?

The Halloween event runs in two parts, and both drop on a Saturday at 15:00 UTC. Part 1 went live on October 17, 2026, and the game's official event listing says Part 2 is a "New Expansion" arriving on October 24.

The official teaser says a portal has appeared beyond the gates of the Abandoned Manor, but it stays sealed until Part 2. The manor is at the far end of the Halloween map, so expect the next area to open from there.

How to Enter the Halloween Dimension

The Halloween Dimension is a separate event world, and you reach it from the normal map. Getting in takes only a few seconds.

1. Launch Steal An Egg on Roblox and walk to the spawn area near your base.
2. Find the Halloween Dimension Portal in the spawn area.
3. Walk into the portal to load the Corrupted Realm.
4. Use the portal in the safe zone when you want to return to the normal map.

The Halloween map plays like the normal game, with a day and night cycle and eggs to steal. It's far more open though, so eggs are spread across named areas instead of one straight path.

How to Get Candy Corn in the Event

Candy Corn is the event currency, and you spend it in the Halloween Event Shop in the safe zone. There are four ways to earn it.

• Defeat monsters with your bat. Soul Phantoms and Pumpkin Golems pay the most per kill.
• Steal spooky eggs and carry them back to the safe zone. Rarer eggs give more Candy Corn, but ghosts can catch you on the way.
• Fish with the Haunted Rod after you finish the first part of Echo's quest.
• Win the Pumpkin Moon event by bringing the most pumpkins to the Pumpkin Altar. Your placement decides your reward.

Steal An Egg Halloween Egg Odds and Pets

The Halloween Dimension Egg costs 2,250 Candy Corn in the Halloween Event Shop. Each egg hatches one of five pets, and these are the odds reported for it.

The other 18 Halloween pets come from eggs you steal on the map. The game files split the map into three zones, each with six pets, and the drop weights below show how rare each one is.

Voidseer Pumpkin is the rarest Halloween pet in the files, at roughly 1 in 1,800 Zone 3 eggs. A separate Halloween Robux Egg in the Shop holds 12 more pets, which brings Update 9 to 35 new pets in total.

Echo's Memories Quest in Steal An Egg Halloween

Echo is a ghost dog, and his quest is the key to the rest of the event. He waits by a house with a witch hat and three mausoleums, to the left of the Halloween spawn.

Talk to Echo to start the quest, then collect his four lost items. These are the locations for each one.

1. Favorite Toy (Mr. Squeaky): a white stuffed bunny beside the giant pumpkin altar, a short walk to the right of Echo's hut.
2. Chewed Bone: walk from the Phantom Express station into the Haunted Swamp until you reach the wooden pier, then check the rocks on its left.
3. Old Collar: past the Phantom Express station, across the railway tracks, next to a large tree.
4. Old Photograph: behind the pile of rocks and pumpkins by the fence, left of the Abandoned Manor gate.
5. Return to Echo with all four items to finish the first part of the quest.

The Chewed Bone is the hardest item to spot, so check every rock around the swamp pier. Once you hand everything in, Echo asks you to follow him to his old master.

How to Get the Phantom Express Ticket

Echo leads you to the Ghost Fisherman on the Haunted Swamp pier, and he gives you the Haunted Rod. The rod opens a two-stage fishing challenge that rewards the ticket.

1. Follow Echo to the swamp pier and talk to the Ghost Fisherman.
2. Stand on the glowing spot on the pier, cast the Haunted Rod into the ripples, and reel quickly to win the minigame.
3. Survive the underwater runner, steering left and right to dodge sea mines.
4. Reach the end with at least one of your three lives left to earn the Phantom Express Ticket.

You only need the ticket for your first ride, so one clear is enough for the whole event. Keep the Haunted Rod, since it also works as a Candy Corn source.

Steal An Egg Halloween Phantom Express and Spectral Mutation

The Phantom Express arrives at the station every 30 minutes. Boarding it takes you to a separate area where the Spectral Mutation is earned.

1. Wait at the Phantom Express station and board when the train arrives.
2. Pick up the Ghost Vacuum in the train area.
3. Vacuum up spirits to collect Souls. Ghoulers are worth the most, then Vengeful, Haunted, and Lost Spirits.
4. Trade your Souls at the Spirit Shrine for a Spectral Mutation Shard.
5. Use the shard on an egg of your choice for a 25% chance to apply the Spectral Mutation.

Each shard only has a 25% chance, so plan on about four shards per success on average. Spectral joins the older Steal An Egg mutations, where the best natural roll, Rainbow, multiplies pet income by 3.5.
